Melanie Schmerglatt is a dedicated dressage coach with a wealth of experience. Growing up surrounded by horses, Melanie was immersed in the equestrian world from a young age, as her parents were prestigious riders themselves. This early exposure to horses laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to dressage.
Seeking to expand her expertise, Melanie spent several years in Germany, where she trained at Hannoveraner Verband, refining both her technical knowledge and her understanding of the art of dressage. Now based on the Sunshine Coast, Melanie combines her international experience with her positive, supportive coaching style to help riders achieve their potential. Alongside her coaching, she runs her own dressage horse training centre.
Melanie’s approach to dressage is rooted in a deep respect for both horse and rider. She’s passionate about supporting horses' health and well-being before anything else—believing that a happy, healthy horse is key to success in any discipline. This philosophy sets her apart and ensures that riders not only excel in the sport but also build lasting, trusting partnerships with their horses.
